COLUMBUS, Ohio-- A new partnership has been announced between TeamWork Online and Ohio State. Ohio State students will now be able to use the exclusive program benefits that are not open to the typical TeamWork U member, including personalized mock interviews, industry-leading advice, professional development opportunities, discounts to TeamWork U events, discounts to the MVP membership, and reporting tools to track progress.

“At SSI, we focus on enhancing career readiness for students who want jobs in sports,” Nicole Kraft, director of the OSU Sports and Society Initiative, said. “Partnering with TeamWorkU allows SSI to offer students even more resources that connect them to some of the most influential organizations in the field, setting them up even more for success.”

TeamWork Online is the industry’s leading sports employment network, offering a wide range of job opportunities and connections for professionals at all levels. With a database of over 15,000 employers, TeamWork Online supports careers that range from entry-level positions to executive roles. The platform is used by some of the largest sports organizations in the world, including the NFL, NBA, MLB and more. Students that create an account on TeamWork Online become part of TeamWork U, a program specifically designed to help students get hired.

“With over a million people applying for 38,000 sports jobs annually, the sports industry is growing, but so is the competition,” Buffy Filippell, the creator of TeamWork Online, said. “Ohio State students that sign up for TeamWork U have a unique advantage—being from a university with one of the top athletic programs in the country, combined with a program that is dedicated to helping them succeed in sports careers.”

The TeamWork U program also offers up to three student ambassadors each year, chosen to lead engagement and promotion for TeamWork U’s resources among their peers.

The OSU Sports and Society Initiative (SSI) plays a large emphasis in preparing students for careers in the sports industry by focusing on career readiness and real-world experience. Through Ohio State’s partnership with TeamWork Online, SSI strengthens its commitment to making Ohio State a leader in athletics on and off the field.

Ohio State students can sign up for TeamWork U by visiting the TeamWork Online website and making an account. When making an account, students simply need to confirm their affiliation with Ohio State University to gain automatic access to the exclusive TeamWork U program and its resources.
