The 2026 OSU Sports Analytics Conference will host a Hackathon in partnership with Sports Info Solutions (SIS) again this year. This year's prompt asks students to determine how the MLB rule changes in 2023 affected the value of infield defense.  This could be from a player evaluation, overall run prevention, or some other perspective. Data is provided by SIS. Data was released on March 2 and students have until March 19 to complete their projects. Registration is available here. 

Teams or individuals must submit a video presentations of less than 5 minutes. Presentations will be evaluated and finalists will be chosen to present at the Ohio State Sports Analytics conference. There are three spots available for online presentations on March 26 and 3 slots available for in-person presentations on March 28. Students not chosen as finalists are welcome to participate with a poster presentation.
