SSI Sports Passport
Students who complete eight events, four each semester, will complete their passport and be invited to SSI’s end-of-year celebration, where they will also be eligible for prize drawings.
The Sports and Society Institute is giving students a new way to explore Ohio State athletics, connect with the sports community and earn prizes along the way.
The new SSI Sports Passport challenges students to attend a mix of athletic competitions and SSI events throughout the 2026-27 academic year. Students who complete eight events, four each semester, will complete their passport and be invited to SSI’s end-of-year celebration, where they will also be eligible for prize drawings.
The goal is simple: encourage students to experience more of the wide range of sports and programming available at Ohio State.
List of Passport Events
Each week, SSI and the SSI Student Club, in collaboration with Block O, will announce designated Passport Pick events on Instagram (here is the complete list). The selections will include both Ohio State sporting events and SSI programs, giving students opportunities to discover teams, topics and experiences they may not otherwise encounter.
Participating is easy. Students attend a designated Passport Pick event, remain through the final portion of the event and look for the SSI Sports Passport QR code. After completing a quick check-in, they can mark the event in their passport and work toward their eight-event goal.
The program is designed to make engaging with Ohio State sports about more than following one team. Students can use the passport to try something new, support fellow Buckeyes and become more connected with the broader sports community on campus.
