Join SSI, LifeSports for "The Mask You Live In" Screening
Join us for a free community screening of The Mask You Live In on Tues. Nov. 12 at The Ohio State University Stillman Hall 100. This award-winning documentary follows boys and young men as they struggle to stay true to themselves, while negotiating America's narrow definition of masculinity. This conversation is vital, not only for the health of our boys, but also for our society as a whole.
The event is presented by Let Me Run Columbus, The Ohio State University College of Social Work, OSULifesports, and The Sports and Society Initiative OSU.
The film is recommended for ages 14 and up. Light refreshments provided. Please RSVP.
Since 2009, Let Me Run has been working to change the negative stereotypes that are associated with being a man, and we’re not the only ones. The Representation Project’s film The Mask You Live In explores how our culture’s narrow definition of masculinity is harming our boys.
