Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Please join The Sports and Society Initiative, in partnership with Ohio State's College of Social Work, LiFE Sports and Anamoly Sports Group, for "Intersectionality of Change," a four-part series looking at how sports can empower people to use their voices and become change agents for social justice.

We encourage the community to come together and craft a narrative for impact and will provide a space to explore key topics and motivate attendees to act on what is discussed.

Our goal is to see what change has taken place and how can we continue it.

This session, moderated by broadcaster and basketball, star Clark Kellogg, focuses on "Taking Action, Making Change," and will involve a 70-minute talk including Q&A for a detailed and personal conversation with people and organizations that include:.
  • Akilah Carter-Francique, San Jose State Study of Sport, Society, and Social Change
  • Gene Smith, Ohio State Athletic Director
  • Greg Taylor, NBA Foundation
  • Anna Isaacson, NFL Social Responsibility
