He served as legislative counsel, general counsel, and president of the NJTHA before leaving that position to serve as chairman of the New Jersey Racing Commission.
Drazin was also responsible for leading the effort to obtain the Breeders' Cup at Monmouth Park in 2007.
Drazin resigned from the NJRC to lead the NJTHA in acquiring the lease for Monmouth Park, thus saving the track from closure. He currently serves as the Chairman and CEO of Darby Development LLC, the company that operates Monmouth Park Race Track, serves as the advisor to the NJTHA and continues to exhibit the highest degree of leadership in his attempts to preserve the New Jersey racing industry. Most recently, he has been nominated to serve on the board of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association.
