FL 1000 is located at 140 W 19th Ave.Description: Sport is a continuously growing industry, and can be a desirable area for employment for many. However, it can be difficult to identify paths for those interested in sport, but not in the business realm. This panel event, hosted by OSU Sports and Society Initiative in partnership with LiFEsports and Coach Beyond, will provide a hands-on experience for students to learn more about multiple career path options for those interested in working directly with athletes and youth sport participants, and how research drives evidence-based practice decisions.Experts on the panel include:Dr. Dan Gould – sport psychology professional and Gwendolyn Norrell Professor Emeritus of Kinesiology and former director of the Institute for the Study of Youth Sports, Michigan State UniversityCatelen Ramsey – sport social worker and assistant director of programming, with LiFEsportsDr. Obidiah Atkinson – sport coach & pedagogy professional, Assistant professor in the Physical Education Department, SUNY CortlandDr. Quadrian Banks– strength and conditioning coach for Ohio State Men’s basketballWe look forward to seeing you at this in-person public event!
