Tim Miller to join SSI efforts

Tim Miller, who spent a dozen years in communication with Major League Soccer clubs, will be teaching at Ohio State this fall and supporting the Sports and Society's podcasting and communication efforts.  

Miller, who worked most recently with the Columbus Crew, will be teaching Comm 3414: Sports Media Relations in the School of Communication. For Sports and Society he will help facilitate our podcast, The Intersection, and work with students on various communication initiatives.  

In a decade with the Crew, Miller rose to the lead communications role and directed and implemented the club’s overall communications vision and strategy. 

A Boston College graduate, Miller worked in media relations for the Boston Bruins,  New England Patriots and New England Revolution, also gaining PR experience with the Boston Marathon and Brentford Football Club in England. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University and holds accreditation in public relations distinction via Universal Accreditation Board. He also serves on the board of directors for the Public Relations Society of America Central Ohio Chapter.

A Chicago native, Miller and his wife, Kaitlynn, reside in Gahanna with their daughter, Addison.
