SSI Seeks Student Content Team Nominations for 2027 Women’s Final Four
The Ohio State Sports and Society Institute is seeking nominations for an advanced student communication and reporting team that will support storytelling and communications efforts surrounding the 2027 NCAA Women’s Final Four in Columbus.
The Women’s Final Four will take place April 2-4, 2027, at Nationwide Arena. Working in conjunction with the NCAA and the Columbus Sports Commission, SSI will help provide a select group of college students with the opportunity to contribute to real-world content and communications efforts connected to one of the nation’s premier sporting events.
Selected students will join a supervised content team working before and during Women’s Final Four week. The team will support editorial, social media, photography, video, audio, digital and broader communications needs connected to the event, community programming and partner storytelling.
“This is about giving talented students the opportunity to move beyond observing a major sporting event and actually contribute to the work surrounding it,” said Nicole Kraft, director of the Sports and Society Institute. “They will gain experience collaborating, creating on deadline and telling stories for real audiences while learning from professionals working across the sports industry.”
The program is designed for college students who have already developed skills in sports communication, journalism, creative media or related fields and are prepared to contribute in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Faculty, staff and university partners are invited to nominate students in areas including writing and reporting, social media, photography, video, audio and digital content. Nominees should be students who demonstrate strong skills, professionalism, creativity and the ability to work collaboratively.
Additional information regarding the selection process, program expectations and Women’s Final Four week activities will be shared with nominated students.
The 2027 Women’s Final Four student content team is part of SSI’s broader commitment to connecting students with meaningful experiential learning opportunities and helping prepare the next generation of sports industry professionals.
