SSI Board Member Watt Earns Phyllis Bailey Career Achievement Award

SSI Board member Kristen Watt, a Buckeye women's basketball legend and longtime broadcast voice of the team, today was honored with the Varsity O Alumni Society Phyllis Bailey Career Achievement Award.
 
Watt led the Buckeyes to three Big Ten Championships and the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance.  She has been an analyst for Ohio State women’s basketball since 1987, while she was attending law school at Ohio State.  She is a partner in the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, where she is the leader of the environmental law group.
 
Watt has served as the chair of the board of the Ohio State University Alumni Association, as well as on the College of Law’s National Council. She was president of the Varsity O Women’s Alumnae Society and served on the university Athletic Council as an alumni representative.
 
The Phyllis Bailey Career Achievement Award recognizes a female Ohio State letter winner who, through her career, has contributed to the honor and fame of the Ohio State University, having capitalized on the values learned in intercollegiate athletics and having achieved singular success in her career.
