Ohio State students were front and center for the most watched women's basketball game ever, as they were part of the media relations team at the Women's Final Four in Cleveland.

The tournament, which crowned South Carolina as its champion, offered students the chance to work in a multitude of media relations roles, learning from the most accomplished sports communication professionals in the business.

In addition, the students served in media relations roles for the Naismith Awards, where Caitlin Clarke was named Player of the Year and Dawn Staley earned Coach of the Year.

The 12 students who made the trip were communication, journalism and sports industry majors, and they were selected through a competitive process. They were joined by students from other universities and media relations professionals, led by Jeremy Guy of the MAC. Aaron Klein of ASC Career Success and Dr. Nicole Kraft, director of SSI, supervised the team and worked alongside them.
