SSI Director Nicole Kraft will be the moderator for the Ohio State-Michigan Rivalry Webinar, held in conjunction with the publication of The Lantern-Michigan Daily online and print Rivalry Editions.
The webinar and publication raise awareness and support a fundraising competition between the two student-led news entities!
Among the leading athletes, sports journalists and students joining to discuss the memories and motivations of the rivalry are:
- Cardale Jones, Ohio State's 2014 National Champion quarterback
- Tim May, longtime Ohio State beat writer
- Michael Rosenberg, Sports Illustrated
- Charlie McDermott, Block O
In addition, student editors will talk about challenges in sports coverage and student journalism today.
This is the fifth year in which the Lantern and The Michigan Daily have partnered to produce a single edition of both papers to jointly cover "The Game." The printed edition is distributed in both Columbus and Ann Arbor to preview the game.
