The Sports and Society Institute, in conjunction with the College of Arts and Sciences Center for Career and Professional Success, will host its fourth sport-focused career readiness fair, "So You Want a Career in Sports."
Space is limited, and registration will be first-come, first-served. We will move to a waitlist if we reach our capacity.
The event will help students understand how they can best prepare for careers in sports, from resumes and portfolios, to dress and interview techniques, acquiring work samples, and more.
The program will include workshop rotations (elevator pitches, resume reviews, networking) with industry leaders, as well as a conversation with previous participants who used their experience to get jobs or internships, games to get us career-ready and food!
We are finalizing our list of organizations, but previous participants have included:
- 97.1 The Fan
- Cleveland Guardians
- Columbus Clippers
- Columbus Convention Center
- Columbus Crew
- Experience Columbus
- Greater Columbus Sports Commission
- Haslam Sports Group
- Indianapolis Motor Speedway
- NetJets
- Ohio High School Athletic Association
- Ohio State Athletic Department
- Ohio State Sports Properties - Learfield
- And more!
