With March Madness underway, the John Glenn College of Public Affairs will take a look at the prominent role sports plays in American society. From billions spent on college football and basketball, to taxpayers paying billions for arenas and stadiums, to the sports concussion crisis, to ever-expanding sports gambling, we’ll examine why sports are so important to our culture.
Featured panelists will be Dr. Pete Edwards, co-owner of the Columbus Crew, and Gene Smith, The Ohio State University's director of athletics. Moderated by Ann Fisher, host of All Sides with Ann Fisher.
