Ben Buchanan is a lecturer in the Sport Industry program at The Ohio State University and a sports broadcaster and analyst with ABC 6 and FOX 28. A regular contributor to The Football Fever, Buchanan provides analysis and commentary on Ohio State football and the broader college sports landscape.
A former Ohio State punter, Buchanan was a four-year football letterman, four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and Ohio State Scholar-Athlete. He was also a two-time finalist for the Wuerffel Trophy and a finalist for the Jesse Owens Medal of Honor, recognizing his accomplishments in athletics, academics and community service.
Buchanan earned three degrees from Ohio State, culminating in a doctorate in sport management. Through his teaching and media work, he brings practical experience at the intersection of athletics, education and sports communication. As a member of the Sports and Society Institute’s governing board, he helps SSI strengthen its student development, sports-media and curricular initiatives.
