Brittani Becher is an assistant professor of sport management at the University of West Georgia, where she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in sport management, sociology, analytics and network analysis while actively conducting and publishing research. She earned her PhD in Sport Management from The Ohio State University in 2025, where her dissertation examined student perspectives on self-efficacy in Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. Her research focuses on the intersection of NIL policy, athlete identity and the psychological and social factors shaping collegiate athletes’ experiences. A recipient of Ohio State’s Graduate Teaching Award, Becher brings a strong commitment to student mentorship and applied learning, with teaching experience spanning sport marketing, internships and contemporary sport issues.
