SSI Launching Yearlong Career Readiness Series for Students
The Sports and Society Institute will host a yearlong series of career readiness events designed to help Ohio State students prepare for sports internships, professional opportunities and major career events across campus.
Led by Zach Howman of Arts and Sciences Career Success, the series will give students practical, step-by-step support as they prepare for the Career Readiness Fair, the Ohio State Athletics Job and Internship Fair and other sports-related internship and career opportunities.
The series is designed for students at all levels of preparation. Whether students are building their first resume, preparing for interviews, learning how to present themselves professionally or getting ready to apply for competitive internships, each session will focus on skills students can use immediately.
“Career readiness is a major part of SSI’s mission to connect students with real opportunities in the sports industry,” said Nicole Kraft, director of the Sports and Society Institute. “We want students to feel prepared, confident and ready to take advantage of every opportunity available to them.”
The series will begin in September with a foundations session and continue throughout the academic year with focused workshops on resumes, interviewing, professional presence and internship preparation.
