SOCWORK 2110: Prevention & Youth Development through Sport, Recreation, and Play

Focuses on how characteristics of environmental contexts contribute to the development of social/academic/health-related problems among youth. Knowledge and skills of generalist social work practice are applied to guide the design and delivery of prevention and youth development programs in sport/recreation/play settings. There will be sports and recreational activities, so dress accordingly.
Prereq: Not open to students with credit for 310.
