Emig will share with Ohio State students and guests the skills needed for a job in athletics communication and what kind of job opportunities exist in the field. Emig, who primarily works with football, has been in the sports information/athletic communications profession for 26 years, holding positions at Southern Illinois-Carbondale and Temple University. He graduated with a degree in communication from Murray State University and later received his master’s degree in sports information from Ohio State University. He has managed media for Ohio State’s national championship title in 2014, 17 Ohio State vs. Michigan football games, three Final Fours, five Big Ten football championship games, three Rose Bowls, three Sugar Bowls, one BCS national championship game, two Fiesta Bowls, one Orange Bowl, and dozens of NCAA and conference tournament basketball games.
